World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items can be used to improve the stats of a particular item. Depending on the type of upgrade you choose, it may increase the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and increase other stats.
Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a specific amount.
Item Level
When an item gets upgraded, its stats improve in value. This is the sum of all of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrading items can be expensive, depending on the upgrader and the kind of upgrade you decide to do. This is due to the number of perks that need to be altered to upgrade an item.
It can also be used to enforce gating requirements when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used to limit how much PvP gear players can wear since PvP is not available at a lower level. The average level of the item is listed on the character sheet.
Using the item level can help players evaluate the power of equipment when deciding to purchase or sell. It's an indicator of the item's damage and its quality. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller can be done using the level of the item.
The item level can be checked by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including the ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel in chat.
There are a few theories about how the calculation of an item's level is carried out. One theory states that the item level is calculated by an equation that determines the value of an item's stats actually are. It is based on the fact that different benefits are valued differently and that gems found in sockets boost the value of the item. This process can result in a calculated value for the item's level, which is usually quite close to Blizzard's actual level of the item.
However, this is not the only factor which affects an item's ilvl, because the level of the region the item dropped in can change the value of its stats, for example by adding a level to its haste rating or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have a higher ilvl.
Item Stats
The stats of an item are a major component of what determines the value of an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the best." The stat modifications of weapons boost base stats. These stat mods are then boosted by the player's level.
Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats of the item. The rarity of an item determines the cost of upgrading. similar webpage or white item, for example, will only be upgraded one time however, items that has rare tiers can be upgraded several times at more expensive costs.
Affixes are another way to alter the stats of an item. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The affixes can be used to give the item extra damage, or give a specific capability to the item (such as reviving dead or cutting down the cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding an exclusive name to the item.
At present, all affixes can be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with circling arrows. It will cost a set amount in gold and other items. These can be used as upgrade gauges as with other rerolling methods.
In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can also choose which of the available stats to be kept on an item after it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However My Web Site will include at least one stat in that range unless they are a unique item, or an item that has a God Roll from a raid boss.
Another thing that can be modified by adding an option to upgrade the equipment without having to reroll the affixes or deciding which stats to enhance. As with the base equipment, it would have to be done per item and the item comparison interface wouldn't display all possible stats at once.
Item Luck
A player's Luck stat stacks up to increase the likelihood of finding items, the properties spawned on loot drops and the strength of these properties. It does not, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players a chance to upgrade their equipment in earlier waves and is thus more valuable in early game runs as opposed to later ones, since most players prefer greater weapon scaling and defense over raw damage gains.
Luck can also increase the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability which increases with each level and can be further enhanced by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Weapons, armor, and shields can spawn or be crafted by using the Luck property, which has a default value of 40. These items can then be upgraded with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to boost the luck of the item up to 140.
Certain items, like the weapon that is infused with hollow can also be crafted to increase the damage of any skill that is able to deal damage by 5percent. These items can be found in the shop or crafted by using the appropriate ingredients.
Item Failure
Upgrades to items are costly and not all upgrades will succeed. Cash shop items can be used to increase the chances of success for an upgrade or to stop players from losing their item in the event that it does not work.
The success rate of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special Materials. The chance of success can only be increased by so much, and the likelihood that an upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%..
The performance of an upgrade is also affected by the Luck of that item. Each item has an average success rate of 25 percent, and every item with Luck increases this chance by 5percent.

The item upgrade overlays are rendered above items in the inventory. This can block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
